The night before any trip, these sites are checked to give us an idea of what we can expect the next day. Based on the forecast, we decide if we are going or not. In some cases we will change our route plans based on the information. At 7AM, the morning of the trip, the final call is made to go ahead with our trip or to cancel unless it is really obvious the night before that the weather is too bad to go anywhere.
